Most popular and famous of Cajun dishes is jambalaya. This contains Louisiana rice, vegetables, and a special blend of spices. Prepared with chicken, sausage, or seafood, it's a classic Cajun meal.
Unit Size: 8 oz.
Cooking instructions: Add 1 pound of smoked sausage, seafood, chicken, pork or beef. In 2 ½ quart pot saute meat in 2 tbsp. of vegetable oil (seafood and smoked sausage do not need to be pre-cooked). Chop meat or seafood into bit size pieces, drain well. Add package of Ragin Cajun Fixin’s Jambalaya Mix, 1 tbsp. butter or margarine, and 2 ½ cups water. Stir well and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer on low heat for 25 minutes or until rice is tender. Remove from heat and let stand covered for 5 minutes before serving.

Turn on the instant pot and press the sautée function key. Once hot add 1 lb of smoked sausage, chicken, pork or seafood and sautée until meat is browned. Cancel the sautée function. Stir in 2-½ cups of water, chicken stock or broth, Ragin’ Cajun Authentic Jambalaya mix, 1 tbsp of butter and 1 tbsp of olive oil or vegetable oil (optional). Close the lid and manual high pressure cook for 12 minutes. Use the natural pressure release to let off the remaining pressure and open the lid. Fluff with a fork before serving.
